Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing part 1

This course is aimed at delegates who have little or no knowledge of using geometrical dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD & T). The course is suitable for all engineers as the objectives are to provide a basic understanding of the symbols and how they can be used to solve problems. The course helps to provide a consistent understanding of GD & T within your company.

Tolerancing for a competitive advantage

This course is aimed at managers, from design, manufacture, quality, purchase and engineering.

This course is aimed at managers, from design, manufacture, quality, purchase and engineering.

This course will introduce and discuss several options that are available to help reduce costs. The cost reduction is being gained by cleaver product specification at the design stage.

Topics covered include:

  • Understanding a tolerance
  • What makes a good design?
  • The tolerance model
  • Types of tolerances
  • Geometrical Product Specification (GPS)

Duration: ½ Day, morning or afternoon
